The Cabernet Sauvignon variety is produced from a Cabernet Franc vine and and Sauvignon Blanc vine grafted together. This variety is a full bodied wine. In warmer climates like the Margaret River in Australia, Cabernet Sauvignon displays characteristics of blackcurrant, black olive, mint and dusty. In cooler climates like France, it displays characteristics of herbaceous, capsicum and tomato leaf. Cabernet Sauvignon is influenced by different styles of French or American oak. This variety can be cellared for up to 10 years and best paired with hearty meat dishes, hamburgers, roast vegetables and aged cheeses.
